Behind the Drawing Board

This book is an account of the life of an architect and college lecturer from the mid-1920s to the present day. It is not a chronological diary of events, but rather a series of chapters dealing with specific elements of the author's life. He has opened up his filing cabinet drawer of memories to reveal his wartime experiences, recollections of his education and his family life and, of course, anecdotes of his career in the field of architecture. Recurring themes throughout these recorded memories are optimism for the future, the importance of justice, and respect for his family, friends and former students.
